What types of bikes do we repair?
All Types of bike!
Quite simply MK Cycling repairs anything from 12 inch wheeled children's bikes all the way up to Olympic team bikes worth tens of thousands of pounds.
Why do you charge £25 minimum per callout?
Every booking regardless of the repair being done costs the same to MK cycling to provide the service. Every booking will take up at least 1 'workshop hour', which means 1 workshop hour of costs.
So because we need to ensure that the service is viable, the minimum callout charge is £25 + parts regardless of the repair. This means the service can stay open and continue to provide services for everyone.
How Long does a service/repair take?
Every service and repair is different. But on average, repairs are complete within the hour and services are usually complete within 1.5 hours. This can vary depending on the condition of the bike and how much work is being done to the bike.
What repairs are you able to do as a mobile mechanic?
Anything your bike shop can do, MK Cycling can do and more! MK Cycling is designed solely as a cycle repair and servicing service and so is set up to be able to handle almost any repair imaginable, this includes some electric bikes.
The only items we do not repair are suspension forks and shocks. This is because we have partnered up with TF Tuned who take care of that for us. The reason TF Tuned is used is that they can complete far superior servicing with specialist manufacturer approved workshops and tools and are an approved manufacturer service centre for people like Fox, Rockshox, Marzocchi, etc.
What if I need replacement parts, can you supply or do I supply them?
